Just so everyone has the facts right. My gun nut friend had this to say about it.
"Yup! I wrote about this story in my book. I also covered the other two popular favorites: the Yamamoto "why didn't you ever invade the US" myth and the Goering visits Switzerland "what would you do if I invaded your country with one million soldiers" fable. Unlike the Hitler myth, the latter two at least have a moral to their stories."
EDIT: although there was this gem in the article:
"Should we eliminate all police officers because the Nazis used police officers to oppress and kill the Jews?"
