These pics represents 2 coats of etching primer over mostly bare metal, and i'm fucking over it. I could not bring myself to strip the doors. The factory primer on this car was no less than 1/16 of an inch thick - no lie. Thats a lot. It took 4 runs of true aircraft stripper to get the paint and primer off the parts that did go bare, and then plenty of sanding after that. At this point if I can get a 20 footer out of this car I will be happy. I am now going to shop 2 or 3 body places and hand it over for the final hi-build prime coat and painting. Its going to be cutting it close for the show, but I hope to get it done. In other words, I have 3 options to get this car done - fast, cheap, & correct. Pick two.
