Hello everyone, . Dead bride is your ride above all original? so far i am thinking on painting mine black which she is now but adding faint flames of maybe Purple? and doing window tint with flames also, would love a underglow, but it is not street legal to drive with them on here. somesort of coffin boxes in the back to hold the speakers. Must have a bumping system! i guess i need seat covers because i hate to get rid of the perfect original interior, and also my bulldogs shed, so need something that can be washed. would love the bone inlays on the hood and some bone or cross rims. need ideas where to look for those.

also what shows do you all attend? how many are there? where at? How do i join a club. i am so new to this, and so stupid about it. My oldest son is the only one who will help me, my husband said he would work on it but i would have to move it from stall to stall, he will not get in it, my daughter Elyse(17) said she would not ride in it that i am sick and my other son(19) wants no part of it also. i have not told my mom(76) and don't plan on it til i have to, so i am really up against things here and i see nothing wrong with it, its just a unique car that carried a empty shell to the grave, nobody died in it, they were already dead. Am i looking at this the right way or not? and P.S. thanks for being so nice and friendly, i feel all alone here ,so far i have not heard of any others here close to me that drive a hearse.

Yeah for the most part. She was originally white on white. The second home that owned her painted her this shade of blue. I sent you a long pm. It had a pic of the other side of my coach. LOL

Isn't that part of the desire to own a hearse. If everyone liked them we couldn't afford them and they would become a yuppy vehicle like the Harley is today. Every middle aged or not so middle aged business man buys a Harley trying to be cool and young. I hope hearses stay shunned and sick to own. Unfortunately they are more common place thanks to the emo and goth kids and it gives them less of a wow factor. Everytime an emo kid buys a hearse they lose cool points.

As for customizing, I try to stay original. Before I get booed and hissed at let me say I like custom cars and own several but a hearse looses it morbid nature when you Halloween them up. I think it makes them look more play toy and less like they could take your ass into the ground at any moment. If people pull over when I have my lights on, I am happy with my cars apperance.

        PS

my husband said he would work on it but i would have to move it from stall to stall, he will not get in it
BWAAHAHAHAHAHAHA he's a wuss and welcome to the board.

Hopefully Elyse will come around and want to ride, the husband even got in her today. we went to pay for her today she is 4 hours away. i got a much closer look, she is a 73 instead of 71 and she is a superior, still has original owners manual in the plastic, the jack is still in original box in the cubbie hole, love all those cubbie holes, he even gave me the flag holder that is held on the hood by magnets, she has the orignal cadillac hub caps with not a dent on them, and she was blue, sort of a med. blue, she has the crinkle top(black)? i'm thinking of going back blue,(really love black though) all the chrome is present, still has those 2 pins to hold coffin ,all the rollers and table? the head liners are perfect, all the inside lights work, the one thing that is missing is the rubber /seal that goes between headlights and bumper and she has one quarter size ding on rear bumper, the moter is a 501 he said. can't wait to get her home,.

this guy said he once belonged to NHAA, he also has a 38 or 41(don't remember) cadillac hearse and said only 4 were made then the war broke out . and he has a 51 hearse
