Hello from Finland!

Just registered on your forum yesterday. Hearsedrivers have been scattered all over the country until last year when the www.ruumisauto.fi website started to gather people together. Here are some photos of our coaches:

Did you check the www.ruumisauto.fi hearse gallery? There are 28 hearses at the moment.

The reason why there are so many Caprice Classics or other basic STWs? Finland used to be a poor country with "funny" tax system (the country isn't that poor anymore, but the tax system is still going strong ). So they used STWs big enough to fit the coffin in as a hearse. Hearses are tax free if they are owned and used by a funeral home. After four years of use a funeral home sold a hearse as a normal STW and buyer doesn't have to pay any tax. Buying a car as tax free and selling at normal price makes a nice business of its own. Now there are more and more hearses from coachbuilders coming to use.

It is "Kaarle" from a Finnish band called Viikate. It think there "sings" also Hynynen from Kotiteollisuus.
