  • New Guy bought my wife a Hearse

I'm the new guy (or FNG) and I am sure you will be hearing a bunch from me. My wife had always wanted a Hearse so I found her one and bought it.
It's a 1962 Superior (I guess you would call it a combo) Pontiac. 54K miles, been sitting for the last 20 years but still in decent condiotion.

She want's it in her favorite color, Tangerine Orange with silver accents, I should have her back on the road in a couple on months.

My full time job is Firefighter/Paramedic but if business keeos picking up my part time job as a classic car builder will become my full time.

My baby while not a hearse is still a car linked with death. She is a spot on clone of Christine. I built her myself. Here are some pictures of the hearse and my Christine.

And a link to all my pictures

WOW, the headlight shot of Christine suddenly gave me the chills (now I can't get 'Bad to the Bone' out of my head!!!)
With Christine as an example of your work, I can't wait for updates on the hearse

      Welcome... and WOW again

Nice 62 Poncho, I seen that one online, glad someone got it and are doing something with it. I have a 68 Pontiac myself. Is yours a Consort or a full size Hearse? I have a good bit of Pontiac knowledge rolling around in this head of mine. A tri-power set-up would be cool as hell a 62. Is that a 389 or a 421?

Orange may look good on a paint chip, there is going to be ALOT of orange paint on that Pontiac. That much maybe overwhelming. I was thinking of painting one of mine Chrome yellow because I like the color, but thought better of it, I didn't want it mistaken for a short bus.

BTW: 2-4BBLs on a Wide Block Mopar = Cool as Hell.

Thanks all, She fell in love with that color in 1996 when ford offered the limited 866 unit "tangerine" mustang GT.

Thanks, I forgot to to reply to this, I havn't confirmed it but I am pretty sure it has a 389 and guess it is a consort being that it is 17' 6" bumper to bumper if that is what that means?

I am still learning all the Hearse terms.

Nice rig man, I will be interested in seeing the end result. I envisioned it in my head and the end result made me hungry for orange sherbert for some reason.

At any rate, the Christine clone is mag-fucking-nificent. Welcome.

Thanks, I was just looking at your PJ site. I think that is one of the best programs going on yet. Thank you for being involved in that. I don't have the free time it would take to be able to work my way up like they talk about but I can spread the word about your work.
