  • I Met Ernie Hudson this weekend....

I went to AdventureCon in Tennessee Saturday, they had the Ecto-1 from the old Universal Studios show there and Ernie was there in his screen used GB2 flightsuit.

We had about 30 GB fans total at the con, a decent number but not as much as DragonCon last year. Ernie was really nice and talked to everyone for a while, he's got a new TV show coming out. I didn't catch the name of it, but Molly Ringwald is one of the stars.

Also as an added bonus Rowdy Roddy Piper was staying in my hotel, I ran into him in the lobby. (no pic of that though)

    anyway enjoy....

              Not true!

              well not anymore....

Sierra entertainment has a new Ghostbusters video game coming out this October on PS3 and XBOX360. As a promoton, they have restored the real Ecto-1 and are currently touring it across the country. They also began restoration on the Ecto-1A, but Ecto-1's went over budget so 1A is temporarily stopped.

Anyway here are some pics of the "restored" (I use quotes because mechanically they didn't do alot to it, it still runs like shit) ctsy gbfans.com

Thats great. Glad to hear that part of Americana isn't rusting away anymore.

But what I heard was Dan Akroyd (sp?) had offered to buy one or both and Universal refursed to sell them to him.

well Sony owns the rights (and the cars) now, so maybe if he offers again they'll take it.

I wish one of us would have gotten the 3-way Superior Ecto-1 that the Cobb Galleria Car Museum had before they went out of business. Wasn't a correct remake, but was still a beautiful car.
