  • Intense mosh pit experiences.

I was talking to a guy at work about going to shows and talked about some of the harder shows we've been to. So this is a thread to cover those. Here are some of the most insane pits i've been in.

(note: these aren't the actual shows i've been at, but have seen these different bands in my home town)

Last video is always a great show.

Sepultura rocks, but I never managed to make it to one of their shows.

Anyway, on "mosh pit experiences," I guess I remember it as having escalated steadily through the 80's and into the early 90's, and evolving from a bunch of fans getting rowdy, having fun, and blowing off steam, into, eventually a bunch of fans trying to have fun, while frat-fag insurgents turn it into a brawl by intentionally trying to injure people. That said, before I got sick of it all, I did have some amazing times.

      FEAR

Butthole Surfers (it surprised me, too, but it was out of control)

      Slayer

      Testament

      Soundgarden

      Anthrax

      Metallica

      Megadeth

      Danzig

      Kinghorse

      Henry Rollins Band

      Pantera

      24-7 Spyz

      Voivod

Just naming them off the top of my head, I'm realizing the list goes on, and on. I guess I did have some good times in those days (before it got old).
