Its okay, he doesn't even show up to use them anyway. Example, none of your posts have been deleted (although if they were I think Psychoholic would restore them anyway).

The problem is that a lot of us have a bunch of lingering respect for him. Zach originally helped to come up with the NHAA, hosts HearseCon each year, has done a lot to promote hearse ownership in a positive light, and is generally a really cool guy (as long as you're not buying anything from him I guess, and even that wasn't always the case).

If he keeps it up I imagine that he's going to have a "fan page" (like Atti does) real soon to go along with his falling rep.

A point of clarification - Zach, Alex (Dallas Trocars) and I came up with the NHAA. It wasn't one person.

Besides, who owns the domains, message boards, images, name, and of course the artwork for the JL ambulances?

Ok point taken i like the site and thank you for it. If he was getting rid of my posts he might read them first. I understand he has been in this for long time and has helped mainstream the hearse life and love for these cars as the same as all of the rest of anyone on here. But how do you crap on another hard working hearse lover like this and i think no one will say anything or do anythhing about this.

Buying stuff from people over the internet is risky... I almost bought his funeral headlights about 2 years ago but am very cautious about buying stuff over the internet ,espeacialy from a private sale or small buisness as it is a lot harder to do anything about to get your money back.. Ulltamitly i realized that i could make them myself for a fraction of the price... I bought a car from someone on this sight in Colorado( i live in Ma) The only way i felt comfterable with the transaction was to send my friend on a plain(cause i cant fly) and do the transaction in person. Money for title and keys... Worked well for me... Very smooth ... I also sold a car to someone on this sight... I was surprised that they just sent me the money threw pay pal...Very surprised... Did not even tell me they did it.. I just checked my account one day and there was money in it.. Wow.. ok... A truck came to pick it up about a week and a half later..... I guess what i am saying is that when you send some one money... you take your chances...

Right after I got my car I ordered a set of Zac's funeral flags w/ the magnetic mounts. Think they were $50 or so, which price-wise is pretty fair considering that ordering a normal mass produced set off of Lynch Funeral Supply Co was about that w/ tax & shipping.

While waiting for them I found a guy on The Hearse Club's Facebook page asking where his order was and PM'd him on Facebook asking if he ever got them. He said he hadn't, and said he had waited so long that it was too late to file a dispute with Paypal [not a mistake a buyer should make]. With that in mind I filed a Paypal dispute towards the end of the window they give you and got my money back. During the dispute process he did email me and said he had sent the order out and was going to send a replacement one out but that was before I was refunded. Shortly after that the guy I had seen on Facebook pm'd me and said that Zac did send him his order and from what he had told me, Zac was very apologetic about the delay.

This would have been late '11/early '12, or about a year ago so maybe he had something going on in his life starting around then. We've all been there, I know I have had sudden, unplanned things crop up. That's actually a story about how I got my car. I had gone up to visit my grandparents to care for my grandfather who has dementia/alzhiemers while my grandmother had an unplanned surgery. Was supposed to be a 3 day visit, only to be surprised that my grandfather's brain had deteriorated much further than anyone had told me since I had seen him last & the surgery had complications and did not go well for her. So I had to deal with both my grandparents being institutionalized, get their affairs in order, then my grandmother was well enough to come home but had to move into a more accessible home. Which meant moving them for them by myself in the tiny car I had at the time while getting their old place ok to put on the market [this took months @ pulling 10-16 hr days]. On the very last car load to their new place some idiot wrecked my car, and I bought the car I have now the very next day thinking if I went home quickly I could beat the worst of the pain/inflammation [which was a misjudgment and I actually had to have friends drive up to drive me & my new car home]. Then after that there was nearly a year of various kinds of rehabilitation & so much time in bed I wouldn't have been an easy person to find or get a hold of. I am not saying he's going through anything like that, I don't know him and it wouldn't be any of my business. I hope he's not preoccupied because of something like that, and I have no bad feelings about how things went since I did get my money back. I'm still willing to do the transaction, if we ever end up at the same show in the future I'd be willing to bring cash & buy a pair from him in person [its an unlikely proposition since I'm on the east coast, but I figure I'll throw that out there in case the opportunity presents itself].

That being said, I have to say that for an online buyer the best protection you can get is to use paypal. I buy everything but my groceries on the net usually and its pretty rare for me to need to file a paypal dispute much less worry about being out money. That includes buying from a lot of individual at-home enthusiasts selling stuff off personal pages using paypal like Zac does. Anyway Paypal is very biased in favor of the buyer, and if you never receive your order & file a dispute right before the end of the window you're not likely to be out the money. For the seller, when paypal is involved: always ship with insurance & tracking, and it might help to take pictures of the package as you send it out w/ that tracking info on it that way if anyone ever says "I didn't get my package" you'll have something to show paypal showing 1- it went to the right location [pic of the package showing address field & tracking info], 2- its delivery status [since payapl will demand a tracking # anyway as proof that you sent something out]. It won't always protect you from fraud or shipping problems but it helps.

No matter what you do, its how you handle or take care of your business. Thats what defines your character. When things get a little tuff, what do you do? Screw people, and pay your bills with their money, or send the product to the folks who payed.

I'm a business man myself, and have built a good rep on sending out the parts that were paid for. On time, every time.

There is a certain person in here that will be a COD only from now on. I doubt I will do business with At** any more, but you never know. Looks like Zack will be a COD guy too.

I don't mind waiting when it comes to stuff that's not being mass produced, as long as I know ahead of time that I'll be waiting. If there's no communication saying "it will take X days/weeks to ship" and I'm on day 44 of that 45 days Paypal gives you to file a dispute, I'm going to file a dispute. That guy I had talked to on facebook waited about 3 months from when I first talked to him to when he finally got his order, and that was after he had already been waiting so long that he didn't have a paypal dispute option left. With no communication warning about a wait or hinting at when the order would go out, he thought he had been forgotten about & was out his money.

FTFY! Remember, they can't sue you for defamation of character if what you say is actually true.

I also think people have a right to know about shady salesmen who have unscrupulous business practices. I think it would be fun to get a list going.

It would end up being a "Little Boy's that Cry Wolf List". However, a board section of approved vendors / sellers would be nice that is heavily moderated. That way if someone has HARD proof of being screwed, the seller could be stricken from it. It would be nice to actually look at a "For Sale" thread without seeing pot stirring and boosting going on.

What would be the and equal best is a DEAD BEAT BUYERS thread to compliment it. Seemingly there is a ton of attention paid to the shady "sellers" but on the other side of that coin are the people that commit to buying but don't have a pot to piss in. When they get caught, it usually ends up a public game of whining and finger pointing.

I have learned a long time ago dealing with coaches and parts that if I got screwed on a $50-$100 deal, suck it up and move on you learned. No sense of crying about it, man up and do something about it. But hey, that's me, I have balls, air miles and a strong distaste for keyboard warriors.

You've obviously never studied up on law. YOU Scary Guy CAN be successfully sued for libel (which covers defamation seen through writing, printing, effigy, movie, or statue) once four elements are shown:

                          1. Your repeated torts conveyed defamatory messages.
                          2. Your repeated torts have been published (meaning conveyed to anyone other than a plaintiff).
                          3. That the plaintiff can be identified by your defamatory material.
                          4. That the plaintiff suffered some sort of reputation damage do to your repeated torts.

As you have NOT had any first hand dealings with Zach (or myself), you have no legal basis and merely repeat hearsay. Perpetually sewing your well-worn repertoire continually adds nails to a slam dunk case when someone finally has enough of your crap. Good luck trying to explain yourself to a judge when that moment comes!!!

And yes, EACH of your posts has been saved over the last several months for posterity - in the offshoot your IQ magically raises and you go back and edit them all out, trying to erase them.

Bullshit, because we have evidence on here of your misdeeds. Have I dealt with you first hand? Nope, and I never plan to because I wouldn't want to get fucked out of any money. I don't even need to say anything ever again on here regarding your horrible reputation. All I need to do is point people to this link: http://www.nationalhearse.net/forums...ighlight=parts

The most you could try to get me for is maybe harassment, but even that isn't the case because you're free to log off at any time you like. Go find yourself another site if you want or stop acting like such a dickhead, dickhead.

Fine, you want me to stop telling people that you're a horrible seller? Then I'll take a page out of Penn & Teller's book and just call you a motherfucking cocksucker (because actually calling them crooks and liars would get them sued). I'm generally the first to call a spade a spade though and believe that open blunt honesty is the best policy (especially when it comes to protecting prospective buyers online, but of course the law is set up to screw the little guy).

Maybe we can tell the judge how you've made physical threats against my person online, I'm sure he'll love that one.

Also, MY reputation is well-worn? Maybe in your own special bizarro version of reality.

                              In short, go fuck yourself.
