Today I went in search of a Hwy 43 sign.

First, the obligatory starting mileage.

Decided since I was so close, I'd just go ahead and head across Strom Thurmond Lake (seriously) and get a pic at the SC border.

You were less than 30 minutes from my house. Cool. My daughter goes over to Clarks lake all the time with friends.

i've been in that area a few times myself.

seriously considering getting my bike back on the road or just getting a new one. Not sure if I want a sports bike like a yamaha FZ6 or a Zuki SV 650, or a cruiser.

I take a SV650 to the mountains occasionally. It's good for that but for anything else, it's a slug. I'd just assume be on my Harley.
