We found this thing on Reddit last month called the 'October Horror Movie Challenge': https://www.reddit.com/r/horrormovie...-301e72a1a5f1/
So far I think we've done about 15 movies so far this month using these as our guides and have had a lot of fun doing so (not that horror movies should be relegated to October but it has made it really fun).
Probably my favorite was the original 13 Ghosts from 1960. There was an intro to it where the director came on and said 'if you believe in ghosts hold up the red lens, if you don't believe then hold up the blue lens'. Whenever the screen would go to a blue color we would hold up some light gels I had left over from when I was doing video work and the results were awesome.
Without the lens:

With the red gels:

Also worth noting the movie Phantasm is just as good now as the first 100 times I've seen it. And you know my ass had to watch Christine when we needed a John Carpenter movie.
