Car was "test lifted" outta' the vault today.....Continue to check the photo link for updated pictures.
Check out the close up on picture #112 I think, bumper and fin really crusted up. Crab said the county guys patted it down, and didn't feel any significant rust holes, but believe the floorboards probly dissapeared quicker than Doug Henning.

Belvedere escapes vault....

Just pulled the Belvedere out at noon.....'ol Boyd Cotterpin's got six and a half hours to get it running for the sold out crowd at the public unveiling tonight.......Heard the photo site crashed this morning, but will be on hand for photos and video tonight.

It sure wasn't pleasant to look at.......ever see stuff brought up from a shipwreck before it's been cleaned up? They got the hood and trunk open, but couldnt get the doors open, although somehow they got the windows down. The case of beer in the trunk musta' deteriorated and floated through the trunk bulkhead, they were pulling beer cans outta' the trunk and interior.
It seemed to have one flat tire on the left rear....People had written their names on the front left whitwall and they were still legible.
I wasn't happy with the yammering of the local celebrity hosts, and 'ol Boyd kinda' came across to me that he was ready to get outta' Tulsa when he saw what shape it was in.
We set in our normal hockey seats, on the opposite end of the arena from the stage, my pictures really didn't turn out worth a shit, but the car will be on display at the free car show tomorrow and Sunday, so we'll go back and get closer photos of it.
Saw an NBC satillite truck, so it make make their national news......

It did make the national news, I got some video from CNN and we ran it as a kicker in the show tonight.
