  • I just bought another bike.....

Just bought a 1975 Harley Sporster 1000. Someone has put a fiberglass front fender on it, it's got long forks, double seat, flared rear fender....

I want the orig fenders. You know, the squared off steel " tub" type it came with. and i want the lowered front forks. Alright harley guys...what is the best place for me to get my shit?

I havent bought anything for mine in a while, but I always just went to Stone Mountain Harley. It didn't hurt that I worked there.

well, nevermind. THAT was short lived. I picked it up, rode it over to my dads house, he saw it, started crying, and telling everyone about how he had one that looked just like it........untill I came along.....and then he had to sell it to pay bills......so now MY DAD has a new 75 sportster, and i got my honda shadow back in the deal. which is fine i guess. the shadow is a much bigger bike, and i like bigger bikes, and even though the honda is a 750 and the harley is a 1000cc, the honda seems faster and stronger to me. plus the oil cooler on the hog kept punching into my inner thigh, and was just annoying. not to mention that every review i have ever read on the shadow says it's the closest bike to a harley, but with much better reliability, cheaper parts prices, and they last longer in total,( between engine rebuilds).

Yeah, the 750 is gonna be way more reliable and stronger than the ironhead. That was the worst motor Harley made-hence the the bad rep for Harley back in the day.

After putting a few miles on Nikki's Shadow 750, I can tell you that it is as close to a perfect motorcycle if a motorcycle is all you are looking for. It does everything it is supposed to the way it is supposed to do it and never has any issues whatsoever.

I'll keep my dyna though.. =)

I just ordered the Cobra 2 inch slash cut drag pipes for the honda, but I am probably going to have to put a jet kit in it too. I wanna see what this motherfucker will do
