Every once in a while, a bunch of us at work get together and build and race rocket cars - That is, build or modify an existing rolling chassis and strap a model rocket engine to it and send it down a track. By "modify" I mean jam a piece of PVC tube into a toy car to hold the engine, and by "track" I mean the back parking lot at work. One year, someone had the bright idea that the vehicles should be able to transport a 12 ounce bottle of beer safely down the track. Essentially, all this does is make for better and messier wrecks.
