I would recommend a compression check as well. Man, I am glad I bought that guage and (with the advice of people on the board) learned how to use it!

I'm going to figure you can pick one of these up at your local auto parts store. I would like to do this.

I understand that Carl from CW Coach is a very direct and up front man. The coach cost was comprible to the one that was listed in charlestown. I don't mind paying this price for a hearse that would need no work done to it. The only work I plan on doing is to add any upgrades to improve engine performance. I'm thinking a change in muffler and air intake to start off. I was also sure to check prior to getting it that it was a rear wheel drive.

So - once I do get it, I'll see how the performance is and go from there. I may ask for some tips if needed
