  • Vehicle history help please?

I tried to run Elvira's VIN through Carhistory.com and was told that the number must be 17 digits long, unfortunately Elvira's VIN is only 9 digits. Does anyone know where and how I can obtain her history?

I'm moving this to the Tomb to get more visibility.

I know when I was trying to find the history of Morticia I had to do some serious PI work. There was a emission sticker from North Carolina for '96, so I started calling places until I narrowed down to a specific funeral home.

If there is a better way - I'd love to hear it.

Devilman, Elvira is a 1962 superior coach. I originally bought her from a private consern back in 76, at that time she had a window sticker on that was from a funeral home in Tennessee, I think..... but after 12 years in outside storage the sticker is no more...lol I have lived here in Wyoming most of my life.... yes it is a small world.....

that should decode the vin. as far as previous owners you can try call the dmv and requesting previous registrations report

if you still have your coachbuilder plate it may say who it was built for, mines a hess and eisenhart (s&s) and its plates say built for "blah blah coach sales , decatur GA" i guess they are who ordered it, so in theory i could call them and see if they can pull up who they sold it to. good luck

Got any others that you're holding out on? I'll add them to the links page.
