I applied for uneployment today, for the first time in my life. I actually have no choice, because I have to pay back anything anything I could get or anything that I MIGHT be eligible to get to the long-term disability company at work, even if I don't receive a dime.
We need some new insurance laws. My employer and I paid a lot of money into this long-term disability program, and they don't have any business giving us all kinds of shit. They should be required to just get a doctor's note and turn over the money.
