There are WHITE ONES now!!! White '63 Cadillac Hearses in the Matchbox aisle!!!

When the Matchbox Hearses came out, my hunt for 'em kinda got somethin' started -- I've got a serious sickness goin' with the Matchboxes and Hotwheels. I try to ask myself, "would I park this in my garage?" (ie, I'm not buyin' the crazy stuff like that "SupDogg" thing) I've been buyin' the cute ones (all the little hotrod Fords & Dodges and such), so the three white hearses weren't the only toys in my basket today... The chick at the checkout asked me how many kids I had (not a single one!) and then asked me why they were special, so I told her about my '68.

"You know that's had dead people in it, right?"

We just bought a 1:18 scale die cast 59 superior ambulance from the franklin mint. I need to stick with the mtchbox cars, they are a fuckton cheaper.lol.

Someone at work bought me a Matchbox 63 hearse. What a great gift! Mine is black, so maybe I need a white one, just for equaaak opportunity.

Are they worth mpw ifyou leave them in the package?

That shows just how "sick" I am with this -- I try to buy most of 'e in pairs so one stays in the package and one's out where I can play with it. I have a Hearse on top of my computer monitor at work, and I have a green Dodge Challenger rollin' around in my purse.

Isn't it funny how many different reactions you get when you're driving a hearse? Some people are curious and want to see inside. Some are horrified, especially the old ones who are about ready to take their ride. Most people just totally ignore it, even if you swing the casket table out and load up that new air compressor at Home Depot. I keep mine inside the gate when it's at home, though, so it doesn't get any unwanted attention.

I have been yet to find even ONE of these hearses in a store yet, and I went EVERYWHERE that sells Matchboxes.
