    i'm not sure what to think about his "get out of iraq" stance. i kind of think if we up and left right now, things would be much, much worse.

    that doesn't mean there is not room for improvement in our approach

        well you know, we still have some troops in germany and japan, even this long after WW2.

        the big thing i'm worried about is that if we leave, iran will do it's god-damnedest to take over - either directly with force or indirectly by sending insurgents to de-stabilize the regime, etc, etc and setting up a puppet state.

        i don't think its' any secret iran wants to be the primary power in that region. letting them have iraq - and its oil - would be a mistake in my opinion.

        just saying though

                  surely some of those we could do without. in fact, we could probably do without most of those. i just think leaving iraq before it is stable is a recipe for disaster.
