  • Nikki's new toy!

Man, this thing is redneck and COOL!

She sold her '96 Cobra and wanted a big truck, so this is it. 1966 Chevy c10 sitting on an '81 K5 blazer frame. Has a 307 in it 882 heads milled 45 thousandths, forgot the valve size, 512/516 lunati cam, edelbrock intake and 650 carb, keith black flat tops, 2k stall, rebuilt 208 transfer case with gears instead of chains, Auburn locker in the front with Warn hubs, 3.73's front and back, new oil pump, driveshafts, starter, radiator, 6" Tuff Country lift kit, 35" bfg's.

It needs a power streering pump (there isn't one at all on there, just a couple of hoses - gotta figure out how to mount one and find the brackets) and that's probably it. Bought it from a dude in Douglasville.

4x6 beams usually make good front bumpers for redneck trucks. In the rear, you could remove that class III hitch and install a safety bumper, which will give you about 2000# more towing capacity.

Awesome looking truck. Thats one of the only Chevy years that I really like. Are you gonna use it as a mudder/puller/all around rednecker or are you gonna clean it up and make it all pretty? I say go the second route cause it is a nice older model.

I think that Nikki wants to make it a pretty off road playtoy. We'll straighten it up some, throw some silver/purple pinstriping on it - I might do some airbrush work on it. It's a good toy to practice with.

                  Floorboards are good.

They aren't gold - they are silver with MUD staining them!

If that thing is anything like a Bronco....that short wheel base make towing heavy shit a bitch.

I drove it home - the lack of power steering makes for one hellacious shoulder workout. At speed it's not bad, it's turning that sumbitch at 2 mph that sucks!
