I've been trying to get my domain registered, and every one of these stupid places either wants to sell me a website with it, or wants $30 or more.

register.com offered it to me for $20 after I turned them down for $30. Has anyone tried them?

Chariots of the Dead uses Direct NIC $15 a year, and they provide website space.

I use Go Daddy, $9.95 per year + tax for Arizona residence since they are based here. My total is $10.19 per year

Thanks for the tip. I got my IP through them.

I tried Godaddy and I couldn't navigate their website to do just a domain, so I gave up on them.

I was just surprised to see the name all over the network within five minutes. We used to wait three days.

Yeah, 24-48 hours doesn't really apply when TTL is like 5 minutes!
