Fuck Boyd. Everyone talks as if he was some great innovator or hotrod messiah. He was neither. Boyd was a guy that built a couple of nice cars and then raped the hotrod world with shitty wheels and poser additude(he hadn't worked on a car himself since the 70's).

Too bad he died but everyone has to check out eventually. It was his time.

What Stodd said. R.I.P. boyd, but most everyone in the community knew he was a used up hack.

I liked Boyd products when it was Boyd. Now that it is American Racing, it sucks.
I think his original stuff was great but as time progressed he got away from the meaning of hot rodding and became more interested in the almighty dollar.

You know, he may not have built a bunch himself and he seemed to be a jerk. But, look at all the guys that he trained (example Chip Fuse) and a few others that set the custom car world on fire. Even if he did not train them, he was an inspiration to the whole automotive industry.

Boyd was an asshole for the most part, did build a couple of nice rods in his day but nothing like George Barris or Daryl Starbird....
