  • MAY NOT HEAR FROM ME FOR A WHILE

I fell off a ladder, broke a hose faucet bib off with my spine, like it wasn't injured enough already, then hit the house hard. The ER says nothing broken, but I hurt more every day in more places, and I walk with a cane.. It may be a few more days or weeks, but if you ask me short questions, I'll try to answerr. A plumber got our water back on, and Jenny and the neighbors are helping. I have a cooler on wheels and I rolled up to the back door and hung a blank over it, so we have cooling and put up fans, so we're OK

Thanks. I slept all day, so I have enough pain medicine to get pleasantly fucked up. Earlier I couldn't open the door, but Jenny did it. This has actually brought us closer together, sosomething good can come out of anything.

Ouch, shoulders hurt. Maybe be back when pain medicine kicks in.

Ooooo all this and Larry's bad jokes too.

All I needed was 5-10 minutes to fix the thing, too.

Geez, I quit funeralracing and dangerous stuff and get hurt anyway. Some people are just accident-prone. I think I will put a long nail into the facia board on each side of that ladder, and have one of Jenny's boyfriends hold the bottom. She has some huge friends. Which ones' bottoms she's holding, I dunno. There's my bad joke.

Geez, aren't injuries supposed to hurt less as they heal? This hurts like
            fuck

I'm doing better now, except that I aggravated my injuries trying to get a fan off of the motor. I ground the end of the motor off, then had to drill way down into it and use a hammer and punch to drive it off. Drilling is probably the worst thing I can do to myself because it requires so much force, but it wouldn't fit in the drill press. Hammering isn't too cool either. I got the sucker off of there because I don't give up, but since then, I haven't been well enough to put the new motor and cap in. I'm walking with the cane again, but at least I have a swamp box, and a window unit in the bedroom.

Thank heaven my doctor feeds me pain medication. I walked into the pharmacy with a prescription for some heavy shit today and said, "On est en manque", which is French slang for "I need a fix". Of course she would have been pissed if she understood it, but nobody speaks French around here. If I had said it in Spanish, she would have either understood or run around screaming for someone who speaks Spanish, but nobody cares about any other language here. One of these days I'm going to get into trouble, but that's the risk a professional smartass has to take.
