Has anyone tried one of these? It sounds like a VOIP device, but $40 (plus S&H, that could be a catch) and then $20 a year with free US and Canadian long-distance sounds like a hell of a deal, if it works, and if there aren't any extra charges.
Since Tony went on the road, we've been getting $200 a month bills because of overages. We talk for a long time (only when he's shut down, of course), and it really racks up the overages. We were going to use Yahoo, but he still would have to call me to tell me to turn on the computer, and I have to plug in the headset. The only other idea I can think of is to go with a higher-minute plan, but I think that I would need a new phone. Mine is sad. If this this really works, I could just call him on it.
They also claim to bill you later, terms 30 days, which is a little closer to what a business would expect than a consumer. I'm suspicious, though. If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.
