  • Surviving a bad Riesling

    Just something I learned by experimentation. If you get a bottle of bad Riesling; for instance, this one that is much too sweet and with a weak aroma, pour a little seltzer into your glass. It will taste like a cheap sparkling wine (which some people mistakenly call champagne), but I'll take a bad "champagne" before I'll throw the $18 down the sink. Times are tough.

    I have no doubt that Obama's changes include a public wine cellar for those who have lost their homes, but I'd rather put mine in a paper bag and become a wino.
