I like the idea of the bike, I have a Maxim I'm doing something similar to, but I would look around a little if I were you before I made any deal. Quite honestly, I don't see any reason why you couldn't build a bike like that for MAX $1500 bux. Those bikes are cheap and plentiful, and unless I'm missing something there's nothing on it that is that expensive. You should be able to find a bike to start with for well under a grand. Even with all brand new parts I don't see how you would break having $2000 invested in it.

well, everything on it is under some sort of warranty. I went to see it in person yesterday. That fucker is gorgeous. It's ALOT bigger than I thought it would be based on the pictures. But there is still alot of room for me to have some custom fab work done to make it my own. It's waiting on 2 new carbs now. and a new set of forwards. I was impressed that it didn't sound like a pissed off tractor. It sounded like my 1800 vstar with the S&S motor and Vance big shots on it. Like a harley but a little more..."even" i guess is the word I am looking for..? I think I'm going to go for it, mainly based on what has been said on other boards I have posted this poll on. The RD board in particular. The opinions are one sided as hell as far as the boards go, so much so I laugh every time I go from 1 to the other. Everyone on the hotrod boards say go for it, at least I'll be able to ride to EVERY show I want to go to, not just stay within a few miles of my house, not because of the car's condition, but because of it's mechanical limitations as designed from the factory. Yeah yeah, I could dump several grand into it to make it more road friendly, but honestly this isn't one of those cars you want to dump that kind of time/money into. It's not a Big buick, it's not a chopped chevy coupe, not a poncho, not a vicky, its just a small bodied 4 door mopar. Yeah it looks cool, but it only looks cool because it's old. Hell everything that old looks cool.
But, also in other news, a RD is comming out this way next month and is bringing me a fuel tank for the chevy, and when he gets by here his trailer will be empty so he's going to load up my truck on his way out to S.C.

Well, nevermind. After the motherfucker made me promise the deal to him he tells me " nevermind, some dude offered me 4 grand for it". I wanna go slit someone's throat. I DESPISE people like that. The funny thing is, this is right after he gives me some sob ass story about how some guy did this exact thing to him, and how upset he was about it.......retard much?

Eh, it's prolly for the better. I can build one for less than my car is worth.

My issue with cars and not keeping them very long is this............ I cannot stand having to wait to do shit. I loath dragging out projects endlessly. So, basically it amounts to the longer I have to sit and wait to do something, the faster I get bored with it. Once I am finnished with the door panels and the rest of the exaust system, it's at a point where the next thing is removing the seats and welding. Which I can't do here, I have no welder. I like knocking things out. You can look around you, especially on this board, and ee what happen when people let projects go on for too long. They rot. And by the time you finally get one thing done, enough time has passed that 8 other things have deteriorated. Everyone has some sort of O.C.D thing about them. Looks like I just told everyone mine...........lol.

                      Hush.

O.k I'm keeping it . for now. But I need help. I have got to figure out how to get this car a higher top speed or it's really not worth owning other than to look at. I know they made an overdrive unit for this car, but I can't find one anywhere. I also hear they made bellhousing adapters for a later model 4 speed or a torqueflight trans. As I said these are things I have been told, but I spent the last couple hours trying to find some for sale and came up empty.
