I built one similar when I was in high school out of a foam cooler and an old AC condensor and ran everything to a switch in the dash. I would just dump in the icy water and we kept cool. It kept a Chevelle cool for a few months in the summer. I like the way he did it, more compact and durable. They do work and would work very well in a smaller vehicle such as a hearse with the partition closed.
