I've been looking back at my diary since 2006, and, of course, 99% of it is sacred shit that can never be shared with anyone, but I thought that this was sort of an amusing reflection on life...
How many other people have flown a 50,000# turboprop cargo airplane, drunk and stoned off of their asses, while the captain was in the back getting a piece of ass? How many others have spent three years making their living carrying a pager from one bar to the next, sometimes taking the boat along and picking up some people to go water skiing? How many have been able to ski Bogus Basin any time they wanted to? If you haven’t gone skiing while stoned and felt the swish of the snow under your skis, you’ve missed a great time. Of course, the Reagans came along and ruined my life for me, and I stumbled around trying to deal with the depression for a while, but the answer to the problem wasn’t too difficult…just go back to college and become a professional. A mechanic was considered to be a piece of shit who could be abused in any way, but a professional could smoke dope and fuck off all day.
God dammit, that's just profound.
