I have been driveing my 73 for 12 years know. The cops in one small town tried to impound it on me. It has been vandalized several times with broken windows, I have been threatend with bodily injury at one point if i don't stop driveing it. Oh ya and when i first got my old 79 , my neighbors tried to get my street to petition me to get rid of it. I respondeed to that by purchasing my 69 crown. I also live buy a church , and i would drive my grandmother to church every sunday in it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've had the cops stop traffic, and MANY times had someone pull right out in front of me to beat the perssesion.
I like to turn on my lights and join the rear of a precession, just to make people wonder what the fuck is going on. The escort cops don't even look at me funny...I don't think they're intelligent enough to try to figure it out.

I've had vandalism a' plenty, keys, bullets, whips, chains, etc. Unfortunately, my house is in Arizona, and we have lots n lots of Mexicans (although we may not have quite so many in the near future, thanks to our governor). They are nice people, but they are superstitious (never could spell that word), and if I leave the hearse in front of the house, they will shoot at it. The rear window was blown out, and I replaced it with 3/8" Lexan. They shot at it again, and the bullet bounced off, but went careening over to my other classic car and left a nice spiral mark on its rear window. I keep the coach in the back yard with a cover over it now, and no one has messed with it lately.

Something I thought of doing to diffuse the fear was to put a Foxworthy quote on the back window, "Yoooo might be a redneck if your station wagon used to be a hearse."
