I'm all for the immigration bill. I've read the bill, there was no reason to protest unless you yourself are an illiegal alien. The protests here weren't as violent as the media made it out. There are always a few people arrested for throwing shit at police, no big issue. The reason the riot police were called out is there are a hundred police officers and 10,000 Mexicans, that is a pretty big gap in public saftey versus protesters.
Basically the bill states being an illegal alien is illegal, isn't that redundant?
If you didn't read a bill that you are protesting, than you have no right to make an opinion on it or protest agianst/for it. It shows ignorance in people as well as how many people are "followers" and incapable of free thinking.
Please notice the police too though. On the right you have almost no police and if any exist they're in plain clothes, maybe some secret service for show. On the left you have fucking shock troops and tear gas. Now the question is were they there to help keep the crazy liberal protesters under control or to stir them up so they look like crazy liberal protesters? There is bias and smearing from both sides and Fox is anything except fair and balanced.
In all their outrage over the Arizona law, there is a matter the politicians and media don't want you to trouble your little heads over. They are including, as part of the new comprehensive immigration reform, the creation of a ID card you will be required by law to carry. That's right, some of the very same nincompoops, who are outraged over the Idea of illegals being forced to show ID, have no problem making you carry by law an ID card. The ACLU is outraged about this, and in this case, I'm entirely on the same side with them.
Unfortunately, listening to talk radio seems to be in my job description. I do get a kick out of listening to liberals whine over stuff like this, though. Most of them have no idea what the bill says, or what life is like in Arizona. I've actually heard it called the "anti-immigration bill"...WTF?
Some loudmouth like Al Sharpton waves the race flag, and they have something to get excited over...as if Mexicans gave a shit about blacks? They call them "chongas".
In LA at least Blacks have really suffered over the way affordable housing and entry level jobs have been taken over by illegals, and many of these illegals have a complete contempt for Blacks, who have a legal right to be here. The increasing friction between the Blacks and illegals has been supressed by the media and civil rights leaders to try to paint the immigration debate as between brown people and rednecks, instead of the Goverment turning its back on its obligation to secure our boarder.
They don't mention it because they don't give a shit about the blacks either and given the chance they would deport all of them back to Africa and let them die of AIDS. Shit, if they could figure it out they'd deport the native Americans to Canada where they originally migrated from thousands of years ago. Good thing most of those idiots are creationists or my impure ass might find itself on some iceberg. Not native enough for reparations, but native enough for that I'm sure.
A local story from my neck of the woods, Temecula California. Yesterday, it came out that a leader of a high school band cancelled a band trip to the Fiesta Bowl scheduled for December. A representative of the Arizona Tourism Board said the Band Leader gave as the reason for the cancellation was anger over the new law. Parents say that the reason the same band leader told them for the cancellation was lack of funds. It will be interesting if this administrator was giving different reasons for the same cancellation. If he did, what a wonderful lesson in civics to the youth of Temecula. I can't wait ro sell my property, so I too can vacate this state.
Four kids suspended from school for wearing American flags on their clothing on Cinco de Mayo. Evidently American flags are offensive to Mexicans, in US schools.
A blacks-only field trip, for black students to visit a black engineer. What happens if they give the same test to all students, and the black kids who attended the trip still get the worst grades? Is the test still inherently racist?

My friend was asking me if now that we're the minority if we can get a "White Entertainment Television" network. I've been asking the same question for years.

Right wing talk radio has tried to claim that a lot of undocumented alens are angry about the new law in Arizona.. First of all, look at these students at Montebello High on Cinco De Mayo, do they look angry?
And why would folks say they hate the US? Here these students are about to hoist Old Glory.
That they don't know how to properly fly the flag, may have more to do with their being a product of the Southern California Public School system, supported by the taxpayers of course.
