I thought it was cute...but kids will always find a way to get high. That's why it isn't right to keep pot away from them.

I have a problem with government involvement in our personal lives, for many good reasons. I got through Calculus by bonging out...it suppresses my overactive creativity and lets me concentrate on the dull, repetitive left-brain stuff. Every person is different, though, which is why government regulation does not solve any problem.

Pot may (or may not) be bad for the lungs, and it robs some people of ambition, but it doesn't fry brain cells like sniffing paint, or tolulene, or Liquid Paper Thinner. Humans, and animals, naturally find ways to get high, and the government is not going to put the quietus on that. Children, with their experimental nature, overactive imagination, and total lack of common sense, tend to find some pretty dangerous substances to get high on, and too many of them end up as vegetables as a result. I say, let 'em smoke pot, and when they get a little older, they can grow up and become alcoholics like the rest of us.

It is one thing to be "not for" something. It is quite another to expect the government to do anything but make the situation worse. In fact, it is downright insane.

The same applies to health care, transportation safety, the economy, etc. If you're "not for" children doing drugs, then don't let your children do drugs. If you're "for" free health care for everyone, then go to medical school and give free health care. If you want driving to be safer, then learn how to drive safely. If you want the economy to be better, do your part and produce something. Please note that I don't mean "you" personally...I would use "one" instead of "you", but that sounds funny in English, for some reason.
