  • yesterday was the worst day ever

I got a call at work yesterday (I'm a truck drive so I'm pretty much always at work) and my wife told me to pull over she had some bad news to tell me and she was not going to tell me until I was parked. Just after aboout noon yesterday my dad decided he couldn't take the pain any longer. He sat back in his easy chair and pulled the trigger. He left behind a wife, 6 sons and 2 daughters and a lot of friends and in-laws. We are still trying to put together the pieces but I think whats going to happen is that he will be cremated. He loved his Harley so I plan next summer to get on his Harley with him on my back and ride from Kirksville,Mo. all the way out to southern California where I will be spreading his ash's over his mothers grave. I think he would have liked the ride if he was alive so this seems to be a fitting way to send him off on his final journey....

My condolences sorry you had to get that news sitting on the roadside somewhere. Hang in there & follow through with what you think his final wishes would have been.

Holy shit Marc! That's terrible. My utmost condolences go out to you and your family and I think the final ride on the Harley is a fantastic way to send him off.

Feel free to bring him down GA way and we'll have a few dozen beers with him before you head west.

Well they do have bolt on canisters for bikes so they can just travel with the bike wherever it goes. Just giving options.

Hope your family is doing okay.
