  • British Hearse Club day out

hi just a little video of what British Hearse enthusiasts get up to.

Some great shots of uk coaches in action ( and American) at Kensal Green Cemetary in London, not to mention the shots of the stunning Gothic Architecture. Thanks to the Classic Hearse Register & David Whitefield.

I love seeing hearses from different countries. What kind of reactions do you get from people? What do people think about your American hearse?

I'm just guessing because that's what I think when I see other hearses from the UK and their huge back ends.

I get the same sort of reaction as in the states - some give a thumbs up, and others scowl... with mine being an American vehicle, most people really don't know what to think. It's not pimped, but as stock, so it's does have a certain amount of grace, and people usually let you pull out... and give respect.

The UK hearses come all shapes and configurations, but mainly have the deceased proudly on show for all the mourners to see and it allows people on the sidewalk the opportunity to stop and pay respects as well, because you can plainly see a coffin on the deck, where as in America, they tend to be hidden away. I personally prefer My Cadillac, as I'm a big fan of American vehicles, but it's down to personal choice.

I have worked as a Funeral Director in the past, and love Hearses and limo's, be they from the UK or Germany or America, & in my opinion they all have an individual charm of their own. (I still prefer my Caddy though...!)

            Nice video.
Is the Rolls hearse in your club? That thing is pretty cool looking.
