  • 57' Plymouth Belvedere Hearse?

were there any Belvedere or Fury Hearses built? around 1957-1960.

somebody told me about one with big fins they had once seen and I wondered if it was one of these

There is a 59 Plymouth combo car pictured in Gregg Merksamers book "Professional Cars". It basically looks like a station-wagon version of "Christine". There is also a handful of other Chrysler cars of that era pictured, but that is the only Plymouth. One would have to assume there were more.

A quick google search brought up this, looks like the same model/coachbuilder

Also not a hearse but the same search netted a '58 plymouth suburban

and what appears to be a '58 ambulance

The example Dwayne posted is indeed a '59 Memphian Dodge military high top ambulance. It also happens to be for sale in NC - $2500.

In the close-but-no-cigar category, a '57 Memphian Dodge combination hearse/ambulance:

                And a '57 DeSoto ambulance:

I'm loving these. Many thanks for the pics. Fintail Hearses, yes please!

Here's the Belvedere Hearse I finally found a pic of. 1 of 2 I believe

That is one seriously wild car! I'd say European for sure.

Where is that 57 Dodge located? It looks like the one I saw in NC. If it is, it has a Hemi in it.

Decent original restorable condition, agreed Scott.
