Well here on the east coast were bracing for Hurricane Irene to make landfall sometime tomorro evening. Were looking for 80-100 MPH winds with possible gusts to 120, as of now. Hopefully she will weaken.
Number one priority was to ensure we had food and goodies, and be prepared to be without power 2-4 days. After that was to make sure my beloved 1990 Mustang GT 5.0 is tucked away further inland and safe. I have the hearse at a buddies for safe keepin further inland. Not so much worried about the wind as the flooding. Hurricane Irene will be bringing along a 6-8 ft storm surge, as well as 8-10 inches of rain. She will also be making langal at high tide. We are a block off the beach.
Were gonna stick it out at home with our 59 caddy, 57 chevy, model t, and others safe further inland aswell. I know a lot of NHAA members are in NC, SC, and VA. Every one from NC to NY on the coast please be safe. Ill keep updated if anything cool happens.
I'm pretty sure my casket will float. I plan on paddling around town in it if shit gets bad hahaha!
Be safe guys!!!
