Sometime ago I posted a few adds on message forums looking for 84 Superior parts, mainly drivers side door glass. It's been so long I've basically forgotten about the adds. The other day I get this email.
Hi,
I have *84 Cadillac Fleetwood Hearse *parts, for sale i bought some
years
ago
then life changed ,still in good shape,no dents Drop me an email if
you are still in need..
Carlrick
Not thinking much unusual here I responded
"Yes, I'm always in need. Mine is a superior built coach. What is
yours?
Where are you located? I could use front driver door."
Then I get this back
Hello,
"Below is an attached image of my 84 Cadillac Fleetwood Hearse
(superior coach) , Note i am selling the complete car as parts but
since you need the front driver door, there is no problem asking
price
for it $200 , Please let me know if my price is Ok and i will also
need your complete home address to enable me figure out the shipping
fees to your door step thanks.
Hope to hear from you soon next."
I opened this in the evening on my phone. The first thing I thought was my phone screwed up a pic of my car. I reopened it and it's the same pic. Next thought runs thru my head is 1 it's one of the Hearse bros fucking with me or 2 this is one of those foreign scammers. Of all the Hearses they found mine and sent me a horrible attempt to photo edit it,, So I decided to keep going and replied.
"Wow how much for the whole car, looks like it has potential still."
And the response I got
"Hey,the car is parts,i am parting the car,not selling the complete
car, let me know if you are ok with my price,of $200,along with your
complete home address."
Regards
At this point I'm sure it's a foreign scammer, so I decided to see what I could get done. I let about a 1/2 day go by and sent this.
"Hadn't heard back, I'm still interested in door part, but need to know if
it
will fit. On the door it should have basic text saying blessed by "Church
of
NHAA" This is important as I have to have that on the door. There were a
few
others so only this one i can use to work in my church. Send a pic of
where
it says that. The only other thing that you could do is have a member of
the
church in your area take a picture blessing it."
The response
"Hi,i have attached the pictures of the door,i'm in Kentucky, let me
know what you think.."
FYI, there is a good chance this is your interior or another hearse friends car, this isn't one of mine. I responded.
"My reverend won't give money unless it's blessed by the Church of NHAA, must
have tag on it. Maybe add one in picture so I can show him."
And here is the reply back
Hi,i have attached the picture where the text saying blessed by
"Church of *NHAA,let me know what you think now so that i will email
you where to made the payment,
I haven't responded yet, but can you believe this?
