Yea this Buick has been for sale on Ebay forever. I think it used to read that the seller was in another state but the car is here in Ohio. CW Coach had one of these Buick Flexettes for sale a few years ago... it was blue with a black top & was a short wheelbase landau coach... I'd called when it showed up on their website but they said it was already sold. I always had a soft spot for the old Buicks. I built this 1965 Buick Sport Wagon in 2004 since my ex wouldn't allow a "death car" in the garage. Well "the ex" is gone now & I sold the Buick... now I have the REAL deal... a hearse.Attached Files

Yeah, I think I've seen that one on ebay before too. Hopefully if this is the one Richard kept tying to buy, he won't try it again, especially since it says it no longer has an engine or transmission.
And I know what you mean about the Buicks, Hotroddwayne. Even before I bought Lily I knew I wanted a Buick hearse. So naturally I went to Richard to get one. She may not be a real old classic, but hey, for a first hearse, she's fine!

If I remember Richard right, only 12 1960 Flexettes are left. And he had 5. But I think that was one of them. Basiclly he would put money down on that car so the guy wouldn't sale it, but he could never pick it up. So the guy would re-list it, and Richard would put more money down on it. He's put enough money down on it to buy it 3 times over.

Alright about 4 years ago this car came across Ebay in Missouri. I contacted the sellar and made arangements to buy the car for 3000.00 and they ended the auction with no bids. they accepted and I went to get the money order as agreed apon when the bank opened Monday. I got the money order and called the seller to confirm the address. I called for three days and left messages and finaly I got ahold of someone and they told me the car was sold to someone else for the same price but he was able to convince them on the phone to sell to him. I was pissed and was given his contact info. The guy who bought it out from under me is Dick Lynch the same man who is selling it. He told me I could have it for 6500.00 that he knew what it was worth. I was pissed and let it go.
Fast forward a year and Dick puts the car on Ebay repeatedly for 6500 with no luck. Fast forward 2 years and the car finaly gets an inflated but I am willing to pay 3000 dollar price tag. I send him 1000 dollars and he agrees to hold the car as long as needed to pay off the rest as long as I paid interest on the amount owed. I agreed. 6 months later he tells me to send him 2500 dollars that same day or it is gone. I talk to him for about an hour and get him to let me send it on Monday. I don't pay my morgage and pay off the car, but I am done with his ass. I pay a 2oo dollar deposit and send a truck after the car. He does not release it due to storage fees. I lose my deposit and send him 300 a month just to keep from losing the 3500 I have already paid for the car. I can't afford to ship the car and pay storage so I end up with about 8000.00 dollars in this car and trade my 1959 cadillac Miller meteor to a guy in Indiana to get the Buick. He tells me he got the Buick but then neither Dick Lynch nor mr cadillac return my calls for a month. the car was never picked up. Dick lynch told me the Buick was sold(an obvious lie since he is still listing it on Ebay) and My 59 Cadillac Combo is gone without one cent being paid for it. I estimate I have about 8000.00 in the Buick and with all the shit I bought for that fucking Cadillac dump another 2500 on that.
I basically have 10,500.00 in that FUCKING 1960 BUICK and I hope that scumbag motherfucker in Ohio goes broke only to watch his kids die of cancer while his wife fucks the negro mailman. I will own that fucking car again one day.

Ouch, that guy gotcha good! Living in Ohio all my life I have heard the above mentioned name in "hotrod guys talks" at car shows in the past. It's terrible to hear this guy is acting this way & wanting storage fees after knowing what you went through to pay for the Buick to begin with... not to mention all the money you've thrown at him. Guess that's why I fool with old cars as a hobby & not a business... I could never do someone like that. Damn dude if you could legally force him to release the coach, have it rollbacked to Bucyrus & i'll park it behind my building for free until you can arrange for transport... i'm in Ohio too...

Dwayne, at this point I think Richard would rather hire you to beat him up instead of having you hold on to the coach. LoL! But seriously, its sad how someone can screw someone else over like that. That would be great if Richard could somehow legally get that moron to release the hearse, though.

You need a lawyer, or just to serve him in small claims court, IF you can. Some states won't allow an out of state citizen to file that way.
He is not entitled to storage fees unless you agreed in writing to pay them. I really suggest calling a lawyer in Ohio or wherever he is. One should talk to you for free if you call around a little. You have an excellent case.

I got $27,000 + $5600 for my truck because I used a lawyer in my auto accident instead of accepting a piddly little offer of $900. Kill all of the lawyers...except mine!
The funny thing is, the only reason that I went to a lawyer was that I didn't like the adjuster's attitude. I thought he was being rude, so I hung up on him and called a lawyer at random out of the phone book. The insurance company thought they would be cute and hold out as long as they could, and the longer they held out, the more the medical bills went up and the less we were willing to settle for.
A gun will get you jail time. A lawyer will get you cash.

I don't think I have any documentation left. I can check and see, but for the most part everything was done over the phone and the Paypal and payments were so long ago I doubt there is any record of them.
It would be my word against his and I don't have the money to persue it.

Sorry to hear it. That sucks ass. I think it was Judge Wapner who said, "A verbal agreement isn't worth the paper it's printed on."
I'm having the same problems trying to get disability. I've been in pain since a skiing accident in 1989, and I've thrown away most of the paperwork. Since then, there have been four or five more accidents. Even if I could find it all, it would be 4" thick, because I've seen dozens of doctors, who had me try everything before there was no choice but to give up and take pain medicine.
Communication by fax or email is good, because you can save it all in a folder. That way, there isn't any doubt about what the deal was. In my last job, when I was asked to give someone a call, I sent them an email instead.
