Where did you get scripts cast. I never found a place that would do one. I have a few good originals but I need 3 per car.
This one will be close to 70 after shipping. I was offered the chance to buy a set a few years back for 200 each. I told him he was crazy, now I wish I bought them.
They were used on all Flxibles from 49-65 you would think they would be more common.

Compare to new. My belle-mère, may she rest in peace, as soon as possible, needed a Marquis emblem for her car, and the Fart dealer wanted $150 for a new one. I found her one for $1 on Ebay, and then I had to go install it because she and her whole family couldn't figure out how to get the broken pin stubs out.
It's all supply and demand, and a lot of luck; for instance, some of the Trocars are particularly adept in the area of procuring hearses for free.
You never know if something is going to be unobtainable, or if someone knows someone who has a box of a dozen that he'll give you. I paid $75 for a crappy pair of armrest inserts for my Deville, with the print rubbing off, then found a flawless pair in a box of assorted shit that I paid $15 for. If you go to the CLC website, you can probably find someone who knows how to cast pot metal, or whatever these are made from. The hard part is polishing, I think, depending on your mold. Is that gold color painted? If so, that would save a lot of money over plating. Don't bite my head off, but you could also make plastic ones, depending on how original you want to keep it. There's an expert on plastic tail light casting on CLC, if you can find him, who posted a good article.
