55' Cadillac Meteor Ambulance?

Saw this today...........wanted to get a consensus on what it is...........and what it might be worth.............only have the one pic............runs & drives, looks complete.....even has an original stretcher!

If it has all the trim in good "driver" shape (some small dings & scratches but shiny), little to no rust and a period correct beacon (this one isn't), I would say it is worth what he is asking if it is the one on the Denver Craigslist.

Not quite............the one one craigslist needs restoration and has glass all the way around (limo style).........this one has no glass on the back end (except for rear door)...kinda a landau style.........plus she runs/drives and has a front fender mounted siren.........the one on craigslist has standard opening door...........this one has suicide doors.

I bought the white one..............

According to him...(the seller)...it WAS originally a hearse, as I suspected.......then in 62' the owner had "Miller" convert it to an ambulance........hence the period incorrect light/equipment it has.

Standard Cadillac windshield is what yours takes, they weren't using commercial windshields yet. Nice find BTW!!!
