If it wasnt built by a coach builder how can it be called a coach?

I don't know if any of these non hearses, with applied styling inspired by hearses, have been called "Coaches" (unless you want to count the Munster Koach) The truth is "Funeral Coach" was a way of suggesting the hand built carriages of the past, instead of saying "Hearse", just like "Funeral Home" was a way to move away from calling those places "Undertaking Parlor". For the record, I'm going to start referring to my 2006 Durango as a "Pall Bearers Coach".

In today's lingo it's someone who can cut up a four door sedan, and insert what's needed, to make it a hearse.

              For the textual challenged.

              COACH BUILDER

              NOT A COACH BUILDER

Now, can we move along to a little more titillating topic? No matter how much discussion there is on this, a coach is a coach and a minivan / station wagon will always be a damned brat hauler. I am almost at the point of buying a scooter, adding a light and calling it a furkin High Top.

Me, I'm old school. I bought my first hearse (a 1962 Eureka Sideloader) from Allen Abott, in Los Angeles. I loved going into his garage, and drooled oved a 1930's Cunningham boddied carved panel car he kept for movie rentals, and enjoyed looking at the new 1975 Funeral Coaches that he rented to funeral homes for services. So, I have a definite preferance to the pre 1985 funeral coach, which was built on a chassis supplied to the builder. My personal taste has been those kind of coaches, Am I going to complain about somebody buying a 1985 or later Funeral coach? Of course not. They are funeral coaches, in every sense of the word. Am I going to get worked up because somebody put some vynal landau bars on a PT Cruiser? Hell no. The person who did so must like hearse style enough to want to put them on their ride. If I want to see only actual funeral coaches at an event, I could always go to a PCS event, and not suffer the indignaty of looking at inappropriate vehicles, while enjoying a plate of sausage.

If you put Vynal landau bars on that, you could say it's a hightop combination coach.

Don't they have a little blue pill for that? Or am I thinking of something else?

I am not cheap enough to sport anything vinyl. However, a good Fez classifies as "High Top".

I need some sort of medication. Tried the little blue pill once, ended up wrecking a quarter panel and woke up with some severe chafage. Not cool.

NOW, last thoughts on the matter. Snapper Combination Landau

Thankfully that landau is mounted correctly. Makes all the difference right there folks!

And dare I suggest, even considering your burgeoning procar fleet, that this is the closest you'll ever be to owning a Eureka.

I can sport this as my Eureka at the NHAA 2014 meet. I get drunk, ride the bitch to my room, no walking. Hell it would fit on a elevator. LmFaO!! Crack that damn siren off at 3am in the hallway of the 2nd floor.
