Fun items worth mentioning this evening.

RSVPs between different sites now push 70. Additional parking has been procured.

6 double and 2 single rooms remain after first weekend. You out of towners traveling great distances should call and book your rooms. They will sell out. After being requested, The Inn at Creedmoor will be leaving pool open a few days longer than normal through our event.

Grass/weeds are already being cut/mowed/weed whacked and insect fogger being sprayed in preparation. Tires are being aired up, some vehicles being moved around to more accessible areas. Less than 3 weeks to go! In doing so, realized many vintage funerary items can go as well. Cleaned up a couple podiums and torchiere lamps for starters. There are well over 100 embalming bottles too. Poor labels (glass is still cast) will be 3 for $20 and nice labels $10/ea as examples. Far cheaper than eBay. Both poor and good labels included, then third image shows labels available after being cleaned up.

        Keep questions coming!

I very much hope to see Otto Baron attend this event. '59 S&S not necessary. Drive the Durango if you need. You're too close to come up with a reason not to go. We'd all enjoy meeting you!

To combat against yard theft from outsiders, address has not been made public. (There are 3 coach laden properties actually.) For those attending not already knowing where to go, 1 of those addresses will be provided tomorrow evening. One must arrive at address being provided in order to gain access to other(s).

Good time to bring up posting images online post event. Permission is granted doing so with following stipulation: Geotagging turned off or GPS coordinates wiped clean before posting anything public. No exceptions again due to theft. A reminder of this will happen on site.

Is this event being advertised in newspapers? Greg said that he was in a friend of ours' transmission shop and one of his mechanics asked if he was going. When Greg asked him how he knew about it, he stated that there was a big ad in our local newspaper.

No - if there is I'd like to see the ad.

Event threads/pages on NHAA, PCS, Facebook, and Hearsespace. Others personally invited that don't have online presences. That's it.

                        Official attending procar count: 24
Unofficial amount of attending people: 75

Grateful to everyone that made it. Knew there would be grandstanders and others with more legit reasons no showing. Those were offset by more who showed up unannounced! People drove in from upstate NY, eastern shore MD, south FL, central TN, OH...and all points in between.

Thanks again to everyone. Really appreciate it.

My time seemed at a premium more so than anyone else between giving nickel tours, answering questions, phone, and email. Adding all that up unfortunately led to far fewer photos taken than normal.

One plate holding 3 peppers also held 3 firsts: First time ever eating chorizo chili rellenos. (Pure numminess!!!) First time ever not able to sleep resulting from a meal. First time I ever subsequently ate Tums (which occurred with breakfast after swimming).

Most viral hearse to come out of Mexico saw light of day for first time in 6+ years. Although remaining unrestored original, it has been gone through mechanically, wheels powdercoated, new Coker WWW bought...but not all of those wheels/tires have made their way on yet.

All original '59 MM Landau 3-way.

Neonwerkz brought a commercial griddle and provided cheesesteaks for everyone Friday evening. He made enough food for 50 people and none was left over.

Wellsboro was most popular coach not belonging to host.

                        A rooster named Ildar.

                        Culprit caught in the act.

Although I'd seen pics of Maverick's casket car previously, first time I was able to check it out in person. Still can't believe a Chevy small block was shoehorned in.

Neither has seen daylight since '91. First time visitors experienced sensory overload.

Ryan Ricks, Pete Bains, and Jeremy Ledford's coaches.

Staging for journey to second property. Would have gone smoother had leader told us he needed to stop for fuel - that's for sure!

Skipping second property entirely and moving to third. (Guess I didn't have 5 seconds to take a single shot there.) Pulled '70 MM out for easier gas tank access. Thomas needed it for his Lifeliner. Stephen Everhard was removing rocker stainless and clips here.

Josh happily scored $5 yard art.

Insects were bad in this yard. Rollback and Darryl's Whistle Pig pull truck were people movers here.

Had to stay sharp with branches cracking back. Gentleman in leather hat is FD William Lum, whose '91 hearse had burned to ground earlier in day.

Chris drove his restored '59 CDV down from Eastern MD shore - over 6 hours each way. His fuel pump crapped out luckily still within city limits. With a busy rollback close, '59 hitched a ride back to house. Between all the combined mechanical knowledge on site and pulling a fuel pump off a '60 there, car was fine once again. Bonus is that Chris can now change a fuel pump in 3 minutes flat.

We heard story of last time SmoothNlow recently tried visiting his "good friend" Chris. Effin' h i l a r i o u s.

At least one Dead Ends member knew how to park.

Whistle Pig repositioning Dave's Superior. This was the second of three times trying to rectify weight bias.

Few coaches will probably sell as a result of attendees having time to think. Nice original '72 Crown is one. Here's a hint - looks good next to Wellsboro doesn't it?

Darryl, Craig, and myself hightailed back to scene soon as we heard what was happening near end of our ridiculously long caravan between properties. '91 belonged to a local FD (William Lum) whose mother was driving this coach. When an issue was detected, she pulled clear of gas pumps and stepped out, remaining unharmed. Their mortuary service had 4 cars in our procession alone.

Record breaker: Completed its last service, burned down, taken to scrap yard, and started being parted out/dismantled/recycled in under 4 hours.

                              William's video:

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

Here's '91 on site. Hose on passenger side was pumping behind dash. What fire didn't finish, water did.

This event was more than worth the drive. I hope we can continue the momentum in may!
