  • Finally!

Well, I did it. I finally got my first hearse! She's the '82 Eureka Buick that Richard (60Buick) had. Her name is Lily, and I love driving her! Just hope she can make the drive all the way back to FL. LOL!

Congrat! Feels good to sit in the drivers seat for the first time, knowing she's all yours for the pampering.

Oh, it definately feels good driving her knowing she's mine! In fact, I got use to driving her almost instantly. As for going to the Zombie walk, I doubt I'd be able to make it. Would love to if I can. Actually, I gotta leave her up here in GA for a lil while due to the fact that she needs one lil thing fixed before she can make the drive. And I don't have time to wait cuz have to be back in FL by Tuesday. But I will bring her back as soon as I can, mark my words.

Ha, I was actually thinking about asking YOU about taking our cars to a show! Just hope that I can get her down soon. Will definately let you know when I do.

Sounds good - I've taken my '80 to a few shows. The Tower shops has one every Friday and it's just $2 to park in it. I've tried the "trophy" shows, but I wouldn't recommend it for any hearse that isn't an antique. They're quite clicky about who wins what award and I'm not paying $20 to have my car just sit there when a brand new one shows up and gets an award for having a shop add some dohickies to it.

yeah we saw a brand new chevy truck that won lots of trophies.

really the only thing i noticed was that they put a couple of decals on the windows and put some stuffed tigers in the back

Yeah, the Tower Shops one isn't too far from where I live. I've gone to it quite a few times to look at the cars. Hopefully it won't be too long til I can get Lily down there. I know she wouldn't win any awards, but maybe with us bringing our cars there, they'll get noticed more.

Congraulations! Be prepaired to experiance that "warm fuzzy feeling" every time you see your car. I've had mine for over a year now, and I still smirk uncontrollably whenever I look at it.

Thanks! I can imagine the feeling. For the short time I was able to drive her while I was up in Georgia, I kept thinking "I can't believe I finally got myself a hearse"! Just hope she'll get fixed up soon so I can go back up to Georgia and drive her home, which is a long drive!
