  • Hi and finally got a hearse !

    Hi. I've been on the site for awhile now and finally bought my first coach.It's a 1992 Buick Roadmaster that is a Eureka conversion, and has 56,000 original miles. It is black with a blue interior and is in decent shape,with the exception of some bubbling on the two side doors, which I plan to have fixed. I bought it from CW Coach in Ohio, and drove it 500 miles to Maryland with no trouble.I even bought a brand new casket to go in back of it ! I plan on showing it at various shows , and eventually use it and the casket for my services,due to failing health. My friends and family think I am really over the top on this one. I even have a 1995 Buick Roadmaster wagon ,that was used as a flower car ,and matches the hearse.Both of these cars fit into the theme of late model GM wagons ,that I have been collecting of late.In the two days that I have driven it around town, I have had mostly positive feedback, with the exception of some strange stares.I am still waiting to hear the what the neighbors have got to say, especially one S.O.B that has given me nothing but grief over my car collection. He even put me in the hospital with another heart attack last year ! But you know what, the heck with him ! He doesn't pay my bills and I'll do what I want.Anyway, it's nice to finally be apart of the wonderfull fraternity of coach owners.
    Warm regards;

    Mike

      I just bought the 95 silver roadmaster from him last thursday. I looked at the black roadmaster and the other cars too. Great to see someone else who bought from the same place. I really want to go back to get a limo.

          Welcome to the Wonderful World of Hearses. Eurekas are nice coaches. We gots a 90 Caddi Eureka. The interiors seem to be nicer than S&S. (in my opinion).

                Bought mine from cw coach also. Will probably buy my next one from there too as long as I can do a thorough inspection this time and not have to do a sight unseen purchase again. A little disappointed in their lack of honesty, but hey they are a car dealership, can't expect a whole lot. But overall I'm happy with my purchase too. Congrats on your new baby and welcome to the group!

                  Thanks lorcin, I also looked at the silver Roadmaster and was contimplating it as well. Is it the one without the roof light, cause he had that one as well.The roof lights don't really turn me on that much.I would also like to go back and get a limo myself. I already have the flower car, that also appears to have been used as a removal vehicle because of the stretcher marks that have been dug into the plastic on the talegate.The limo would complete the lineup of funeral service cars that would be used for my services. Only problem is I will need volunteers to drive them all, cause I plan on doing as little as possible the day of my funeral. LoL!!! I have already told my family and friends that if they come to my funeral, they better plan on working, (ie; driving cars).I am also going to have custom made nameplates made, with my last name to go in the nameplate holders.Anyway, thanks guys,I've had more fun with this car in the 4 days I've had it,than my 1946 Dodge fire eng. that I've had for a year,although it is fun too.

                      The one I came home with didn't have the roof light. Its a 95 and wasn't listed on the web site. We looked at 3 silver roadmasters including the one with the light. We weren't crazy about the light either, but the car was in good condition. I think we got this car a week before you got yours.

                        Yes, you got a very nice car Lorcin. I may have bought that one myself had I known about it,although I was in the market for a black one.I like the LT-1 style motor more than the standard 5.7. My 92 that I just bought, is no slouch though. Tweeks, I live in Dundalk, outside the city. I'm not computer savy, but could e-mail pics. of my black '95 wb-4 wagon if you like. I have several that the fellow took of it when he first got it. It came out of a funeral home up in Mass.As a rule, a black wood delete (wb-4) Roadaster wagon is considered rare and highly coveted.So anyway, let me know if you want me to e-mail the pics.

                            We have a 92 roadmaster sedan with the 5.7 (LO5 350) and its an excellent motor. The car has just over 140,000 and it runs great. It has given us great service and doesn't seem like it will ever die. I visit the local junk yards every so often and every roadmaster LO5 car I come across has more than 160,000 miles on it. Just last week i found a wagon with 220,000 miles on the od. The best part is all of them are always totaled. They didn't get scraped because of mechanical failure. I would have been extremely happy to get another roadmaster with that motor.
