  • The '59 from West Virgnia last month.

Spill the beans, who got it and what were the details? So I have found out that it was black and cheap. At least the original funeral home that sold it the funeral home that sold it last month sold it cheap. I'm sure the 2nd funeral home made a good profit on it.

I'm totally down with seeing another '59 - although "black and cheap" may require a penicillin shot.

I'm still trying to find out more about it. I bumbed into 2 from the home that originally had it. Sold it for a grand. Said it had a burnt valve and cracked manifold.

That's all I know. Waiting to hear from the funeral home that bought it and resold it last month.

No word on make or body style? They should at least be able to describe it.

Whats the story on the '59. Where was it at in WV. I'm from Charleston and this is the first I have even heard about it. What was the first funeral home that sold it for a grand?

So far, it seems to be an issue of people just not being able to date cars.

            The 2nd funeral home said
"No I bought a 72 from them, and I still have it" and "They never had a 59, I would love to have one, with them big glass and all."

But, the story doesn't end here.....

Here is what I think I have found, the one I was chasing in WV was owned by a guy named Jeff Barb, or Lord or Lourde-Barb funeral home. He says it went to a museum in IL.

I did track down one near Baltimore, but it isn't for sale, the pics are going to be emailed to me at some point. I will also go and have a looksee myself.

I may have also found a stash of vehicles in IN. I have to call about those and see. They look like parts cars, but I will still try and get photos of them sent out.

Pics of Zumbrun's 59. This came from a Funeral Home in Baltimore MD.

(As pointed out this isn't his car, but he emailed me the pic anyhow.)

Locking a cadillac of this era is a strange task. If you can manage to lock you keys in one, you are trully a magician.

                      Pics

Was these pics taken at different stages? I see 2 different lic plates and 1 pic dont have the chrome on the rear roof line, just curious, beautyful ride though.

Indeed. Clearly 2 different coaches. Eagle eye award to Harold.

Guess you're onto two '59s here Tweek! The plot thickens.
