  • My New Hearse- 1995 Superior Crown

I went to HearseCon 2009. We were driving through Denver and I spotted a hearse for sale in a mortuary parking lot. We checked out the hearse before the Saturday show and I ended up buying the next day. We told the secretary at the mortuary about HearseCon and she came down to Red and Jerry's to see all the hearses.

I flew back to Denver yesterday to get the hearse ready for transport. I was going to drive it but it was cheaper to have it shipped. Here are some pics of my 1995 Superior Crown.

Man, that's sweet! If I ever quit pissin' my money away on vintage non-ops, I'm goin' after something of that body style!

Really?!? How much was it to ship? From Denver to where? I just shipped a Casket from Philly to Phoenix and it cost almost as much as the Casket itself!

It cost $548 door to door, Denver to Orange, CA.

                1,025 miles total.

When gas was $4-$5 a gallon I was getting quotes anywhere from $1.25 to $2.50 a mile, so I was happy to pay the $548.

I also filled the hearse with hearse parts and carefully placed a '65 Superior bench seat in the back.

I think I'm bringing the 1960 Superior to the OC Fairgrounds and if Amy comes down she will drive the '95.

Nice find. I have a friend that has a 1994 Superior that is her daily driver.

Hell yea! I'd love to have a 93-96, especially with a nice roof line like that. (Still don't think they'd let me drive it to work though. )
