  • more Mexican hearses

I've adopted a wait-and-see approach the last couple months for Mexican coaches. Often it seems when a lead is followed, they aren't as described, years are way off, or the money involved doesn't warrant shipping. Guess the same holds true in the US really but language barrier makes Mexican coaches more frustrating.

However, a completely independent source has confirmed that these are indeed for sale - so they're worth mentioning. Each of them is within an hour drive to the Texas border! Pretty sweet for a change not to worry about logistics, drug cartel activity, etc.

    '55 Cadillac combination
    '58 Superior Cadillac

Both of these are good original driving condition. Not bad. Either one would be worth going after alone. The third and one that intrigues the most?

'41 Cadillac hearse in great original condition. One of the two sources went so far as stating that it can still be used for services! Whoa. That's a heavily weighted statement right there. The '41 asking price is considerably more than the other two but not high per se, nor high for the American market. It does help validate the alleged condition.

Oh - did I mention one of the sources used the word 'panels' describing this '41..? That's right. Like a service quality coach in that year range isn't enough. This may actually turn out being carved as well.

Who knows. I heart this stuff.

    To be continued.

    WOW..!

    Teaser pics arrived.

    '55 Miller Combination:

    '58 Superior:

Again, these are original and unrestored! Color me surprised...and that takes a lot. The '41 I've learned is an S&S. The way things are progressing I should have full picture sets of each by this time next week.

        Thanks.

You know what you are? You're the guy with the really hot girlfriend who is like "Hey, wanna see a picture of her tits?" and everyone of course says "YES" and then you show us some bullshit cleavage shot.

        Dick.

No, but I am that guy who will discreetly snap a shot of your mom's nip slip paparatti style to share though. Not a boob man anyway.

Did you accidentally take 2ml of Rogaine today Zach?

If more pics had been sent I would have posted them. This is the first time all the little details are matching up and I'm thoroughly enjoying this hunt!

I'd do unspeakable, unmentionable things for that 55.

Whew! Pretty sure its just going to take some money.

That warm, rich, saturated copperish-gold certainly is alluring, isn't it? I'll post info as it becomes available. If that isn't sufficient for your addiction, PM or email.

Wow, you weren't kidding; that little bit of cover pulled back is such a tease!.. and yet very revealing. I can't wait to see more!

The '41 S&S didn't turn out being an endloader - or in quite the same shape anticipated. Great solid, complete(?), rare, unmolested coach for restoration though:

This original '55 is the pick of the litter for sure:

Crazy colors! Anyone who restores this amazing survivor should be shot to ride in the back. Can you figure out what is in the cabinet?

The original '58 Superior is a 3-way! Looks better after a quick wash.

Two tone with tan from the factory..? Perhaps it was silver that faded.

Not making asking prices public in the wrong forum, nor starting new threads in the classifieds. I will say that they're fair values, not steals, not top pricing. *IF* we get 3 people together to match up with these 3 coaches - the buying power becomes important, dropping them into a 'very good deal' range. Common sense stuff. PM/email for my number if you want any further info.

                      For now, enjoy the pics!

                        All I can say is
If you are talking to about the cabinet behind the partition. I believe it's for the heat and maybe the a/c for the rear, as it's a combo.

why not share the asking prices? Some folks have to save up, or sell a neighbor kid on the black market.

Because like everything else in Mexico, asking prices can fluctuate significantly with cash in hand. If someone has a genuine interest, I'll fill them in privately, on the phone. Not about to make a price public to have it change higher or lower dependent on the week.

Several have stated they want the '55 or '58, mainly off forum. One person even offered to buy all 3 - probably for resale.
