Old people seem to hate hearses

Old people use to love my cars. It was the preppy H.S dicklicker crowd that "attempted" to give me shit about it. But i have anger management issues and dont tollerate any bullshit from anyone, so when id get out of my car at a stop light they shut the fuck up fast and did their best to manuver into the closest turning lane posible. The absolute best reaction i ever got was from and old old man, who walked up to my 60 S&S at a car show in jasper ga years back and it was odd cause he wa in a wheel chair being rolled around by his son, he rolls up and goes " young man, i wanted to say thank you for saving this car, it's cars like this that make old men like me cry".........i mean.....what do you say to that?

What gets me is the parents that think your ride is so cool they just let their kids climb all over it and in it at car shows.

People here in AZ let their kids climb all over everything. It's a cultural thing, I think...just like saying, "Excuse me" is, to us Euro-Americans.

I have had a lot of older men tell that when they were younger they knew someone that had a hearse and they would cruise around in it.
The thing that bother me is woman that grab there children and tell them not to look because it's a hearse. I was at a car show and there were two small boys, I think they were cousins. They were having a conversation amongst themselves about my hearse. They were there with they're dads. I hate parents that project they're fears onto they're children.

That is the fun thing about owning a hearse. It is like being in a parade wherever you go. People stop and wave, honk, take pictures... It makes you feel like a celebrity.

I dunno dude, I got an 85. Most folks tolerate it, old dudes love it. That car stops, and some ole greybread has ta come over and BS about it.

I wasn't sure what to think the overall comments would be when we got our first Hearse. To my surprise it got and still gets positive attention. I've yet to see anyone negative towards them here. Some people have a fear of them and the rest seem to think Hearses are cool. I've seen more cameras flashing along with the typical camera phones hanging out of car windows. I rather enjoy the fearing types more since they seem to be on edge but still want to look into the rear. I guess its like the typical horror kill where the character just has to go investigate that sound knowing it may be his turn to die. This city has many cemetaries that people come from all over the world to visit. The voodoo culture, along with vampire tours, haunted plantations and ghost tours you would almost think that a Hearse would be in every driveway. The cars are here just hard to find and hopfully our club will give these people a means to contact each other.

Most classic car shows are pre 72, so most see the newer Hearse as a morbid facination.

it seems that once the cars get older then like 62ish people seem more excepting. Plus the 55 is one of the more popular cadillacs

Thats weird... with my 55 caddy, I always get the thumbs up or "Nice car" from the old men. Although the little old ladies give me the frown.
