anyway details.... 3000 tickets one lucky winner drives home in Lost Souls...... take her dont Break her!

What if an out of state person plays or wins, what happens?
I would love the chance to win it, I have people in Michigan who could pick it up for me but I couldn't find any rules on the site, that or I missed them.
    Thanks

Heya Kaptin, good to see you!
The rules for that are under prizes. by placing it on the net, I assume that chances are it will be won by a out of state party.... I really would love a hearse person or Haunt person to get this girl....... As for having someone pick her up, it wouldnt be a problem as long as we have something signed By you and Notarized that it would be legal to release her to your friend.
      PRIZES
The winner of the Grand Prize (“GPW”) is entitled to the Hearse. Within 30 days of notification by us, winner is solely responsible for any and all shipping and handling costs and state or

I wouldn't destroy her if I won her, it's the noteriety, plus, a member of my club has a haunted house in AZ. I would probably use it to help advertise his business. His haunted attraction hearse is bleaching from the AZ sun & I would help him out, so this would benefit him as well as me. Thanks for the information.

Let me know if you get the full 30K. If that works, I think I'll raffle my car off the same way!

I have a question... is the drawing going to take place regardless if you don't sell all 3,000 tickets by midnight on October 31, 2010? Your official rules say:
A maximum/minimum of 3,000 entries will be sold for the Raffle.
All entries must be received by 11:00p.m. on October 30th, 2010, to be eligible for this drawing. Drawing takes place on October 31, 2010 at Midnight . Should all 3,000 entries
be sold prior to stated drawing date, then the drawing will occur
three days after the maximum entries have been reached.
The way this reads it sounds like all 3,000 tickets must be sold by Halloween? Please explain this better in your official rules because alot of us will buy several chances on the hearse raffle once the rules are clarified.
The raffle is a really neat idea to fund your haunted attraction!

I don't need another car, but I'll throw in on some of this action. Shit, I think the entire hearse community will buy tickets!

Just a quick thought because I am super sketchy when it comes to stuff like this. How do we know this is really legit?

Who exactly is the non-profit organization that is receiving the proceeds from the raffle?

Just looked at the rules. The website states the coach’s value at being $9050.00. Which is more than the $5,100.00 dollar non taxable prize limit set by the IRS. (This info is all on the website.) What's not on the website is the amount the government expects to receive when a person claims a prize of exceeding value. If you win, at the time of claiming your prize you owe the government roughly 1/3 the value of the listed value of the prize, in this case a rough estimate would be just under $3000.00. If you can't pay that, or don't claim it and get caught, Uncle Sam won't be happy with you and will come after your ass!
A ten dollar ticket is a ten dollar ticket, unless you win. Then it’s more like a $3010.00 ticket.

Just wanted to give you all a heads up.

Good call Musikill! I was about to post the same thing.

Rob, the raffle is a good idea, there was actually a goth club here locally that raffled off a hearse a while back and I know that they made a decent amount of money on the item so it's a solid plan. If I may offer my 2 cents -

The taxable value is going to kill this thing if it's too high. Sadly the bastards in government just don't like anyone getting a decent bonus in life if they can't get their filthy hands on it and as such I think you're going to have a LOT better luck reporting the value at say $1000 (not doubting your estimates by any means but reporting it for less will have fewer burdens for the winner)

My other recommendation, if you have to sell 3,000 tickets to make this thing happen (which sounds like the case) then I would really advise putting this EVERYWHERE. Make a Youtube video for it, post it on Myspace pages (Comments sections) make a facebook page, target goths, hipsters, metal kids, EVERYONE YOU CAN on the net. The hearse message boards are great but they're a bit limited on exposure.

Take care man and good luck!
