I bought this roughly a month ago with the thought of keeping her to restore her,......and I may still........but since it could be said that I may have taken on more than I can handle with a full driveway of project vehicles, I'm on the fence as to whether or not I will ever find the time to give her the attention she needs.........so, before I decide to chuck her up on ebay....if I ever do.....I thought I'd post her up here and see if anyone would be interested in making me an offer on her.
I have all her parts/chrome, and a sheet of side window glass.
She does need a windshield.
She runs and drives decently, but could use a good tune up......possibly a carb rebuild.
Transmission shifts in all the right places as it had been rebuilt over a year ago.
All the ambulance equipment/sirens work, as well as the lights.......the ring gasket for the roof light may need re-greasing/lubing.
She is equipped with an original stretcher, as well as a corpse chair.
Although tattered, and a bit rotted, she even has an original body bag.
As I understand it, she originally came out of the coach company as a hearse. Then returned to the coach company in 63' to be converted into an Ambulance. Hence the period incorrect equipment, although it is now considered stock for this specific car.
The car is in reasonable shape with the body being pretty solid and straight. She has an enormous amount of potential as a restorable hearse/ambulance......or even as a rat rod.....and could easily be driven as she sits....but she does need a solid amount of work if one chooses to restore her and/or make her into something.
So, if you feel you might have an interest in her, drop me a note.
I paid 6K for her and would like to get most, if not all of of that back, however, I'm open to considering any offer anyone might submit should they have an interest in her
I don't have many pics at the moment, but will be taking more very soon!
