  • Who built this one?

I already posted on the "other two" boards, but in being thorough...

I bought this 1989 Chevrolet Suburban hearse 2 weeks ago, and I have had no luck finding out who built it. Any insight?

The second picture is a common emblem found at most autozone stores. Has nothing to do with the coach maker. Do you have any more close up pix of the landau bars and the sail panel behind the rear doors?

The conversion was post-production, as the table is not integrated with the floor. Basically it's a one-piece that can be lifted out to reveal the stock floor. The landau bows have an angular fluerdelis in the center reminiscent of a Superior. There is no build tag on it anywhere. The quarter windows are filled in with sheet steel under the (soon to be removed) vinyl top.

Disappointing to know the emblem isn't related to the build...

This was on the back of our pull-a-part Suburban hearse.

Familiar with them? Is it a dealer or coach builder?
