  • Crazy Miller Meteor, what is this???

    Link to pictures

It looks like a Miller Meteor equivalent of the Superior Broadmore. The stainless steel interior in the back is freaking madness! Anyone got a clue what it is?

That is freakin cool! Easy cleanup of blood and guts so you can take the kids to soccer.

Looks like an "Invalid Transport" to me.

If you look at the 3rd picture you can see a coach nameplate in the window. It looks to me like the name plate reads "Greysarge". A quick google search reveals several hits regarding a Greysarge kennel for Irish Wolfhounds. Could they have actually made a coach specifically for transporting show dogs? It could possibly explain the stainless in the rear compartment, while having the more standard interior for the front 2 sections.

It's a wild guess, I grant you, but who knows?

I know that when I sold my first hearse I had in the early nineties, they guy that bought it was getting it to transport his newfoundlands around.

On a side note. Zach, I have been trying to get in touch with you by email about the hearse you guys have for sale. I might have someone that is interested. Can you get in touch with me about whether it is still available?

        Thanks

That coach was discussed awhile ago on the PCS board. I think someone had pictures of it in use. As mentioned above, It was ordered for a dog breeder/kennel in CT.

The second row of seats threw me off. What a unique use for the car.

As EternalCombustion mentioned and DocV confirmed - correct! Well known Miller Meteor anomaly in certain circles.

I heart stainless. And titanium more so.

I wonder if it's still in Ct. somewhere? That would make one hell of a barn find. If anyone knows the town it ended up in please post it. Probably the western side of the state where people got the cheddar to buy stuff like that.

Jeff Brown and I were obsessed with a rumored hearse that was supposedly in production for a while that had a stainless steel interior that was, as Mohawk Freak mentioned, set up so you could just hose off the interior and go if there was any sort of a spill. I like the drain idea, adds a level of creepiness to it!

You had me at "Jeff Brown and I were obsessed".

And without that '90s vision, Denver goth kids wouldn't have that paved avenue of acceptance.

i might be wrong , but i think there was an ambulance used in a early Dukes Of Hazerd episode (i think it was seasen one) which had a stainless interioer. It was painted black and used as a hearse in the episode, but it was a high top ambulance.

It was a Pontiac Ambulance that was painted black. I remember the episode, saw it in reruns. The back door opens and Boss Hogg rolls out the back and down the road on the cot. Here is a link to some pictures of it as an ambulance and a "hearse", http://www.angelfire.com/80s/dukesof...esseason1.html

And it would have to be a 68.
